My love of music really started in my early teens when my mam, Rosie, bought me my acoustic guitar, which I still use today; it is a prized possession.
I started singing voluntarily on a Karaoke machine in a residential care home called Cilwendeg where my Grandmother was resident at that time. It brought joy to my heart to see the smiles on the dear faces.
After a few years I bought my own P.A. System and carried on singing voluntarily which built up my confidence tremendously.
During these years my dearest first husband, Huw, became ill with terminal cancer. I took time out from my music and day job at a delicatessen/cafe to care for him and for our three lovely daughters. It was during this sad time I was inspired to write the song 'Our Love is Blowing in the Wind'. Dedicated to Huw, it was actually completed, in May 2007, whilst sitting by his hospital bed, a day before he lost his battle to cancer.
Even through all this sadness, I still felt inspired to write songs and put down my feelings of what we were going through as a family.
I dedicate 'You are the Sunshine', to all of you who have lost a loved one; I find this to be a very comforting song.
'Memories,' is another song dedicated to our three beautiful girls.
To my delight, these songs were later played on Radio Pembrokeshire.
After a 30 month break from music, I sang with 3 fellas in a band for a while. Then I moved on to a duo, which later became a trio and back to a duo again. We called ourselves 'Revival Take 2', which was myself and Richard Sellen, playing at many festivals, venues and charity events.
In 2011, I married my second husband, Roy, and gained a beautiful step-daughter, dedicating my song, 'Time with You', to Roy.
In 2013, I recorded my first album 'From the Heart,' in Richard Sellen's studio, Cornish Down. One of the tracks, 'Beautiful' is dedicated to my daughter, Celyn. (No pressure, only 3 more to write for!).
Currently, in 2018, I am working on my 2nd album with Richard Sellen. I was also fortunate to meet Geoff Bowen, of the Bowen Brothers, this year.
